Rose Syrup Milk pudding

Rose Milk pudding is a jelly like dessert made with whole milk, sugar and corn flour.

Ingredients
  

1 cup = 250 ml

  • 800 ml + 100 ml Milk (full fat)
  • 1/2 cup sugar (105 gram)
  • 1/4 cup corn flour/corn starch
  • 2 tbsp rose syrup/roohafza
  • 1 tbsp rose petals
  • 2 tbsp almonds (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp pistachios (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp water

Instructions
 

  • Add water, 800 ml of milk and sugar in a heavy bottomed pan.
  • Boil the milk until it is reduced to half i.e. 400 ml.
  • In the meantime, mix corn flour with 100 ml of milk.
  • When the milk is reduced to half, add corn flour milk and stir continuously.
  • Cook for 8-10 minutes or until a thick paste like milk is ready.
  • Immediately transfer into a dish.
  • Mix rose syrup very well.
  • Wait for 5 minutes and thereafter decorate with rose petals, almonds and pistachios.
  • Let it set in refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
  • Cut into slices and enjoy.
