Peanut masala recipe

Peanuts covered with spicy gram flour is a snack you can't stop until the entire bowl is finished.

Equipment

  • Air fryer/Mocrowave or oven

Ingredients
  

1 cup = 250 ml

  • 250 gram/1.5 cup peanuts
  • 1/2 cup gram flour/besan
  • 4 tbsp powdered poha or rice flour
  • 2 tbsp corn flour/corn starch
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 3/4 tsp carom seeds
  • 3/4 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp dry mango powder or chaat masala
  • 8-10 curry leaves (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • water as required

Instructions
 

  • Take a bowl and add gram flour, powdered poha, corn flour, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, carom seeds, garam masala, red chilli powder, dry mango powder, curry leaves, salt and oil
  • Slowly add water sufficient enough so that mixture gets a sticky consistency.
  • Add the peanuts, few at a moment.
  • Coat them with the besan mixture, preferably one at a time. If you find it exhaustive, then coat few kernels using fingers.

AIR FRYING METHOD

  • Put them in greased air fryer basket.
  • Air fry for 8-10 minutes @160°C.

BAKING METHOD

  • Arrange coated peanuts on a greased baking tray.
  • Bake in preheated oven @180°C for 20-25 minutes or until peanuts turn crispy.

DEEP FRYING

  • Pick up some besan coated peanuts and put them in oil.
  • Fry till golden brown and crispy.
  • Enjoy once cool.
