Dry fruit raita recipe is a mildly sweet curd based side dish made with dry fruits and other ingredients of ones choice.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cup curd/Yoghurt chilled
  • 1 banana ripe
  • 4 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp cream/malai
  • 2 tbsp walnuts roughly chopped
  • 2 tbsp almonds roughly chopped
  • 2 tbsp cashews roughly chopped
  • 2 tbsp dry rose petals
  • Pinch of saffron
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black salt

Instructions
 

  • Dry roast almonds, walnuts and cashews together on low flame till they slightly turns golden.
  • Likewise dry roast sesame seeds on low flame till they turn light brown in colour.
  • Take a banana and mash it well.
  • Add curd in a bowl and put all the ingredients i.e. powdered sugar, milk, cream/malai, dry rose petals, saffron, salt, black salt along with roasted dry fruits, sesame seeds and mashed banana. Mix well.
  • Taste a bit and adjust the seasoning, if needed.
  • Dry fruit raita is ready. Enjoy.

Notes

  1. Make sure curd shouldn't be sour.
  2. Quantity of sugar depends on the fact how sweet your banana is and how much sweet you want to keep your raita.
  3. Granulated sugar can also be added but powdered one gets dissolved in no time.
