Ingredients
  

  • 100 Grams Ginger/adrak about 2.5 to 3 inches long 2 roots
  • 100 Grams Garlic/lehsun about 5 small to medium sized garlic bulbs
  • 4 tbsp Oil unflavoured
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric/Haldi

Instructions
 

  • Peel garlic pods and keep aside.
  • Peel ginger and wash it. Put on a clean kitchen towel and pat dry.
  • Add both ginger and garlic in a clean blender. Better if you cut ginger roots to a reasonable size. It will help the blender to pulse smoothly.
  • Give a nice blend in first go & then add 2 tbsp of oil (half of the given) & blend again.
  • Open the lid of blender jar and then add the rest of the oil, i.e. another 2 tbsps, too.
  • Pulse again and keep on going unless you get a smooth creamy texture. Check at intervals  and also scratch the sides of the jar inside & put in the center so that everything gets blended uniformly.
  • When you see that the mixture has attained the desired texture, add turmeric and blend one more time.
  • Your ginger garlic paste is ready.

Notes

  1. Store ginger garlic paste in a sterilized airtight glass jar.
  2. Following the same method, Ginger Paste and Garlic Paste can be made separately.
