Take a saucepan and add cocoa powder, sugar, corn flour and salt. Quantity of all the ingredients is given in the recipe card at the end of the post. Remember, saucepan is not put on gas stove so far.
Give them a good mix.
Add water.
Mix very well.
Now put the saucepan on heat.
Let it simmer on low to medium heat.
Keep whisking in every 30 seconds.
After 8 to 10 minutes of simmering, coat a spoon with the syrup and if a line is drawn at the back side of it, its a sign that sauce is thick enough.
Take the saucepan off the heat.
Add vanilla essence and mix well.
Let it cool down completely.
Homemade Chocolate syrup is ready. Pour in a glass jar through a sieve.
