Keep the cold drink out of refrigerator to let it come to room temperature.
Add 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp of powdered sugar and 1/4 cup oil in a bowl.
Give it a good mix.
Put a sieve on the bowl.
Add 1.5 cup all purpose flour, pinch of salt and 1 tsp baking soda.
Sift the ingredients into the bowl.
Add 1/3 cup tutti fruity directly to the flour so that tutti fruity gets coated with the flour. Give it a good mix.
Further add 1 tsp of mix fruit essence and mix well. If you don't have fruit essence, you can use vanilla essence.
Now start adding soft drink little by little and keep mixing.
Firstly we added 1/4 cup of soft drink, mixed, again 1/4 cup of soft drink, mixed and lastly again 1/4 cup of soft drink. So total 3/4 cup of soft drink was added to make a thick yet flowing consistency of batter. The quantity of soft drink may vary depending on type of flour and sugar you are using, so never add the entire soft drink in one go.
Give a good mix.
Lastly add 1 tsp white vinegar and mix well.
Pour the batter in greased muffin tins. Instead of muffin tins, you can use a baking tin to make whole cake.
Bake the muffins in pre-heated oven @170°C for 20 to 25 minutes in the middle rack with both the rods on.
Bring them out and cool completely.
