Wash moong dal very well and drain the water completely.
Spread it into a baking tray.
Bake @180° C for 5 minutes.
Pause the microwave and stir the dal.
Bake again for 5 minutes.
Take it out and let it cool down completely.
Grind into a fine powder.
Also take oats and grind them into a powder.
Take a bowl and add butter in it.
Whisk it using electric beater until butter turns creamy.
Add sugar and whisk it again until creamy.
Add oats powder and mix well then add powdered dal, baking powder, baking soda and mix well into a dough using hand.
Now take a small piece of dough and shape it into a cookie. Likewise
make cookies with the entire dough. The shape of cookies is totally your choice.
Arrange all on a baking tray lined with greased butter paper.
Place the tray in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Bake in a pre heated oven @160° C in the middle rack with both the rods on for 25-30 minutes.
Bring them out and let cool completely.
Moong dal cookies are ready.
