Add 2 tbsp of milk in a microwave safe small glass bowl and microwave for 30 seconds on high power. Our microwave has high powder of 900 and remember, entire recipe will be made on high power till the end.
Add few strands of saffron, mix and keep aside.
Take a big microwave safe glass bowl and add suji in it.
Microwave for 2 minutes.
Give it a stir.
Again microwave for 2 minutes, then stir, microwave 2 minutes, stir, microwave 1 minute and stir. From beginning to end, we have microwaved suji for total 7 minutes and in 4 parts.
While suji is getting microwaved, it will keep on changing its colour from white to light brown. Also it will stick to the bottom of bowl but no issues. Just scrap it using wooden spatula.
After 7 minutes of roasting, add melted desi ghee in suji.
Mix well.
Microwave for 2 minutes.
Then add almonds, cashews and coconut. But DON'T add raisins yet, otherwise they will begin to burst.
Mix them well.
Microwave for 2 minutes, stir, again microwave for 1 minute and stir.
Now add sugar, cardamoms, saffron soaked milk, raisins and warm water. Remember, water has to be warm only otherwise with cold water, your bowl may receive cracks.
Give them a good mix.
Microwave for 3 minutes, stir, microwave 2 minutes and stir.
Your suji ka halwa in microwave is ready. Enjoy warm.
