Ingredients
MAKING OF MASALA POWDER

urad dal
black gram skinned
1
tsp
chana dal
split chickpeas
1/2
tsp
cumin seeds
1
tsp
sesame seeds
3
dry red chillies
2
tbsp
peanuts
2
tbsp
coconut
grated
MAKING PEANUT RICE

tsp
oil
1
tsp
mustard seeds
8-10
curry leaves
2
tbsp
peanuts
Salt to taste
Masala
already made

rice
cooked
Instructions
MAKING OF MASALA POWDER
Pour oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, urad dal, chana dal and peanuts. Saute till both dals and peanuts turn slightly brown.
Add sesame seeds and dry red chillies. Saute for couple of seconds.
Add coconut and saute till coconut turns slightly brown and fragrant.
Remove the pan from heat and let the mixture turn cool completely.
Grind the mixture to a fine powder. Keep aside.
MAKING OF PEANUT RICE
Take oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, curry leaves and peanuts. Saute till mustard splitter and peanuts turn slightly brown.
Add cooked rice, masala powder (initially prepared) and salt. Mix well.
Cover the pan with a lid and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
Peanut rice are ready.
Enjoy warm.

If you have already roasted peanuts, then no need to roast them again.
