Finally the light of that day is seen which is an epitome of love.

Yes… We are talking about Valentine’s Day.

 Whatever be the mode of celebrating this day by all the love birds but the foodies always celebrate each occasion by connecting themselves with a food. Something new, something amazing and something symbolic to the day of celebration takes birth in the kitchen.

So when it comes to valentines day, what can be a better option than Red Velvet Cake, made without using eggs. This yummy red velvet cake is nothing less than a treat to your eyes and its beauty enhances and reaches to another level when you get all appreciations for your loved ones.

As already stated, we are making this cake for valentine’s day so that is why deliberately choosing the heart shape mould. Heart is the symbolic of love so no other shape could do better justice to this cake on this special day. However if you don’t have heart shape mould, you can go for simple mould too.

So lets celebrate this day of love in the most lovable way with red velvet cake

Red Velvet Cake made without eggs is an easy and perfect recipe for valentine's day.
Prep Time 15 minutes

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cup All purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 2 tbsp Cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup Curd
  • 3 tbsp Milk
  • 2 tsp Red food colour
  • 1/2 cup Oil or butter melted
  • 1.5 tsp Vanilla essence
  • 1 tsp Vinegar or lemon juice
  • Salt a pinch
  • Icing sugar/powdered sugar for decoration

Instructions
 

  • Take a bowl, sieve all purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Keep aside.
  • Take another big bowl & add curd, sugar, oil (or butter), milk, vinegar, vanilla essence & food colour. Make a smooth paste.
  • Now add dry ingredients into wet ingredients and mix them with cut and fold method. Don't over do.
  • Grease a baking tray (we are using heart shaped silicon moulds) and pour the batter and tap gently to remove air bubbles.
  • Place the tray inside a preheated oven & bake for 15 to 20 minutes @180 degree C.
  • To check the done-ness, insert a tooth pick and if it comes out clean, your cake is ready.
  • Let it cool down. Decorate with dusting of icing sugar and enjoy.

Step wise recipe of Red velvet cake
